What is the one biggest limitation on the speed that your business can grow?
Yes, that’s right… you.
You are only one person. You can only do what one person can accomplish in a day.
Until you start outsourcing marketing, you can never gain momentum, you can never grow exponentially, you can never focus on your skills and talents that will make your business great.
Let’s look at an example. Suppose you want to write a blog post. What are the steps you need to take?
- Keyword research to find a good topic.
- Write the blog post.
- Find an image to go with it.
- Post the blog post.
- Tweet it.
- Facebook it.
- Announce it on LinkedIn.
- Bookmark it.
- Write an article linking to it.
- Distribute the article.
- Make a few blog comments about it.
- Write an email to send to your list about it.
- Answer the comments you get.
And this is the list for one blog post. What about several blog posts? What about a blog post in a series leading to a product you just made?
The time involved in internet marketing is astronomical. One person can’t do it alone. You will never get enough content to make your mark in the big internet world.
This is why I highly recommend outsourcing your marketing.
By outsourcing marketing, you leverage your time and finally get ahead of your work load.
Every task on the “writing a blog” list can be outsourced. And in most cases, every task is done better by someone else who can do them better, faster and more efficiently than you.
If you focus your business on your “core genius“–the things that you do so easily and so well that it doesn’t seem like working–and let others do the other work, you will have the formula for a business that showcases you and your talents.
Outsourcing marketing is a new skill for most internet marketers, and frankly I’m surprised it’s not talked about more. But I believe it is an essential skill that all internet marketers must master for true success.
I have written a free e-book which tells how to get started. 7 Steps to Outsourcing Your Online Marketing will give you a game plan for outsourcing. It’s written so that if you have never outsourced before, you can get started. And if you have outsourced, this will help you organize your to-do lists and get more efficient.
