Take a moment and remember what you hoped for when you started your career, many years ago.

I’d bet a poppy seed bagel with cream cheese AND an orange juice that you imagined something meaningful, something important, something significant happening in life. I bet you dreamed of living a lifestyle of purpose and the means to make it happen.
I’m not saying you haven’t lived a good life. I’m sure you have. But in my coaching experience, many people feel like they were meant for more than what they’ve done–that they are here for a purpose and they haven’t fully accomplished it yet.
Most lives follow a typical course. Spouses come, and then children. You gain homes and pets and responsibilities. Later your children leave and you care for your parents. You make compromises–choices you’re happy to make for your loved ones but that add up over time.
The ordinary events of life can distract us from our bigger goals.
